• Question about FastDL

First off, I hope this is in the right place, if not I am very sorry. I looked around and seen people had posted these questions here. None of them answered my question(s). Firstly, is it possible to use Steam Workshop to do FastDL on a Prop Hunt server, and if so, can anyone point me in the direction of a guide. If that one is not possible, can anyone point me to a good guide that is noob friendly on how to setup FastDL on a Prop Hunt server.
I believe you mean WorkshopDL; FastDL requires a website host.
With WorkshopDL, is that for Maps only or does it work with models and weapons as well?
WorkshopDL works with any file on the workshop.
WorkshopDL works with any file on the workshop.
Last two questions, the guide does not show how to add them to the pointshop, do you know a guide that shows me how. I know how to add things that have physical location within the server files, but from a collection I am not sure. Last question, is it a good alternative to FastDL?
1. Open the Workshop file using GMad to find the direct path. 2. WorkshopDL is the only viable alternative to FastDL.

I am sorry to be a bother.
Oops, that page that I posted didn't contain info about resource.AddWorkshop. The collection ID (in the page I linked you) hosts the addon on your server so it can be used on your server. For +host_workshop_collection, you need to have a Steam workshop collection containing all the addons you want to use. To send the files to clients, you have to use resource.AddWorkshop. As for pointshop, that's when you use GMad to find the direct path to the file you need.

Do I need it in both the server files and the collection, or can I add it to the Pointshop from the collection? I assume you need it in both, but I am not positive.

What that does is download the collection to your server, so it is adding it to your server already.
