Im sorry if this has been asked before but how do you download files off of garrysmod.org to use ingame?
I put them in my gmod addons but they don't show up in the game.
In particular I want http://www.garrysmod.org/downloads/?a=view&id=120698 and http://www.garrysmod.org/downloads/?a=view&id=123196
Thank you
Edit:Oh and I run windows 7
Also what does the toybox folder do?
Download the pack. Open the .zip folder you downloaded. Take out the folder inside. Paste in addons folder. YouTube or Google could have answered this a lot quicker.
I've watched those its just once they get in my addons they don't do anything.
As you were trying to install weapons, they should pop up in the weapons tab on tbe top of the spawnmenu.
Yea I know...but they are not there unfortunately.
How do the folders look like after you put them into addons?
it's addons/your_downloaded_addon/info.txt
addons/your_downloaded_addon/models/
and so on right?
I've been doing:
Local disk
Program Files (x86)
Steam
Steamapps
naterox42 (my name)
garrysmod
garrysmod
addons
and it goes in my addons folder and doesn't work.
I currently have those mods in there but they won't work.
Did you remember to go into the .zip folder, take out the folder inside (probably named the addon) and placed THAT in the addons folder? And not the actual .zip folder in addons?
Yea
Did you also check that when extracted you have something like garrysmod/garrysmod/addons/addon_name/info.txt and stuff.
And NOT garrysmod/garrysmod/addons/addon_name/addon_name/info.txt ?
Or you could just, y'know, ask him to post a screenie.
What is the EXACT name of the folder/s you have placed in addons, and does it contain an info.txt as soon as you open it?
Local disk
Program Files (x86)
Steam
Steamapps
naterox42
garrysmod
garrysmod
addons
Are my exact folder names
Take a screenshot in your addons folder, please.
Nevermind I got them to work thanks though.
Mind telling people how, Just in case some guest ever wants to know.
