Invalid or corrupt background texture

Hi,

For a few days I am getting this error when I try to launch GMOD

I already deleted the local content and redownloaded it but it didn't help.

Maybe the cause of the error is me playing in 1280x720 widescreen windowed mode.

Maybe making GMOD launch in native fullscreen mode will solve the problem. But I have no idea which file to edit to make it do that. The only .cfg file I found was the "config_default.cfg" which doesn't have an entry regarding resolution or screen mode.

I doubt that changing resolution will help, but you can always try. To change it you have to use -w -h launch commands, look at the screenshot. You will understand.

If changing resolution won't help, try turn off steam, delete garrysmod folder from Steam\steamapps\YourName folder, turn steam back on, verify game cache integrity(its in the properties), when it finishes checking try run it again.
