No matter what I do, I can't connect to my local server after the June 1st update. I've done everything I've found online but to no avail, including:
-Updating the server with SteamCMD.
-Not using 'force_install_dir' when updating the server.
-Creating a fresh install of the server.
-Deleting all Garry's Mod folders and reinstalling the game.
It always says my client is the one that's out of date (older). However, I can connect to any internet server just fine. Does anyone else have this problem?
It sounds like you're downloading a beta version of the game for the server?
Yeah, that was the problem. Apparently quite some time ago, I used 'app_update 4020 -beta dev validate' for whatever reason...
Using 'app_update 4020 -beta NONE validate' worked like a charm, thanks for bringing that up.
