Every time I open Garry's Mod it says Vaildating Steam cache files. I have to wait 10 Minutes until it finishes, and when it does I have to wait a little longer because it freezes on 100% -_- I have been playing Garry's Mod for 3 years, this started to happen in January. Does anyone know why? I mean seriously I got bored of this it has been happening for months!

let it verify, then defragment, and never force steam to close (shut down steam before shutting down your computer)
