Anyway to the point.
Have you updated your NVIDIA drivers recently?
How are your stats in mac's task manager looking when you open it up?

Sorry but I have no idea what those are. If it has to do with manually changing your grahpic/ect drives then no.
Sorry it took so long to respond, I kept refreshing for a while then forgot for the day.
Also, if this helps, its not even making it to the main menu without starting to not respond.
Come on please help!
I would get a windows computer if I were you because macs are not made for gaming.
I would get a windows computer if I were you because macs are not made for gaming.
Well Im not switching now. Macs are much better too.
I would get a windows computer if I were you because macs are not made for gaming.
Any OS can play games, the only reason this argument is made is because of companies not porting games over. You never know the performance gains if you never try. Valve had did a splendid job raising support for Linux and I can even vouch for Linux in this aspect as I get better framerate on my Linux partition than my Windows partition any day of the week + my desktop environment looks the way I want it to look without bogging my system resources all to hell. :tinfoil:
Can we get back on topic now... I really need help.

Please don't be retarded. Windows does a shitty job at, everything :v: - don't even try and defend it. You can't put lipstick on a dead pig as it lays there breathless in its own shit ( Referring to the shit-storm that is Windows 9 ):v:.
On topic; when checking my server performance since the latest update I see really violent CPU spikes that cause the entire thread to choke and once it locked for 3 hours until I woke up to CTRL+C the process. It all started since the latest update. I doubt they're related honestly but I'm not too sure.
EDIT

Graphs! This one is on a server only running one DarkRP server on Linux and this graphing system. That is it.
Red = Memory / Blue = CPU. Running an I7 :tinfoil:
Well, anyone got idea's? I don't really want to wait for another update.
i might be having the same problem
I guess my gmod might be broken forever... :(
By a Windows man :)

Every OS is good in its own way and all serve a different spectra of people, generally. How many players and addons do you have on that server anyway? Also, why are you running a DarkRP server from your home PC? Typically servers don't use i7s and Source servers can only use a single core and I am pretty sure they don't like threading either. I don't know of any single core i7s.
Back on topic, how many addons do you have installed? Have you tried unsubscribing from them all then deleting them from C:/Profram Files (x86)/Steam/steamapps/Garry's Mod/garrysmod/addons/, then restarting your game? That folder path is for Windows, idk what it would be on other OSes, whenever your Steam is found though is where you could grind Garry's Mod.

Windows sucks at everything but monopoly.

[Off topic]
You again, just making irrelevant comments in attempt to belittle people.
Addons: ~ 60-70 ( 25% are custom.)
Its a 92 slot server that before the latest update sustained about 70 players daily. Not sure where you got home-hosted from but its in a datacenter.
Source is single threaded yes, but if you actually look;
Note; look at the top one.
More over it doesn't need to only have a single core? Not even the E3 ( Previously preferred by large gaming networks ) comes with only a single core? Just because it has 8 cores doesn't mean you can't run single core processes on it.
For other servers using an I7 check out CivilGamers too, who sustain about 100 players daily.
[On topic]
We at least need more data of how you produce the crash, is it caused by doing something certain, or certain maps?
It doesn't Crash, Im going to try to remove everything. I was able to handle tons and tons of addons/maps but then suddenly bam, It won't work.

To be honest, I have 192 addons, but i had no lag at all. I got rid of the addons by removing them from the gmod folder directly, but i can't acually unsub from them because its to laggy, also, when I did this I was able to get to the main menu, but then lagged out again.

Windows doesn't suck. Well, it does but not much, just as much as Linux and OSX do. If you want to convince anyone then provide at least some sort of proof.
I'm going to try be helpful but, @KingRyan to give you an option, Verify your game cache (Google how to do that through steam) and second of all if that doesn't work give your game a complete reset (Delete local content reinstall and let addons from workshop download again).

I can be rude... often, but in this case I was just being rude back when you called someone retarded for using Windows as their home PC's OS. They all have their own uses, I would never use Windows or OSX for a server but then again I wouldn't give my grandmother a Linux PC running Slackware. Windows is like the middle ground where the average PC user likes to be because it is the most widely supported, barely requires any work to use, runs better than OSX, and is cheaper. If they used Linux they would have to spend much more time learning how it works and half the games they played or programs the used on Windows wouldn't be supported. If you own a PC that you just use for office work like scanning docs or writing reports then again, Windows wins for being cheap and simple. If you don't care to much about money and want something even simpler then people go for OSX. Basically what I am saying is that they all have their own different uses.
Nice graphs btw, comparing an i7 @ 4ghz to an E3 Xeon @3.1ghz and it still is almost just as powerful. And probably cheaper.

Ive tried to do a completee reset and when I verified my game cache it said 6 files were missing and are going to be reaquired or something. It just won't even get to the menu :( Thanks though.
