Every time my friend starts her game it goes to a light blue screen like the one when it loads the menu but without any text in it. The task manager says it is not responding and it only works when she deletes the entire thing and lets the add ons re-download. Once she restarts it, it stops responding again. It only started this a few days ago. Does anyone know about any solution to this problem?
specifications please? and do any other source powered games do this?
Verify your cache. If that fails, clean and update.
She has the Half Life 2 series, Team Fortress 2, Left 4 Dead 2, Portal 1 and 2, and Age Of Chivalry.
I was reading some other problems that popped up shortly after mine about games crashing because of CS:S and L4D2, and she hasn't tried playing since update 163. She has tried uninstalling and it works for about an hour but then it crashes and when she restarts it goes to the blue screen with a black box in the corner (what is making me think it is related to the L4D2 problem). Thank you for your responses.
The black box in the corner is steam letting you know that Overlay started.
