Is there a way to disable the blue outline that shows up around entities under the crosshair?

Title basically says it all; My desktop computer is unusable at the moment, so I have to play GMOD on my laptop which doesn't really have the best specs. On the lowest settings I get 60fps pretty much constant in flatgrass with quite a few props in the map. However, the second I hover over an entity and that blue outline type thing shows up, my FPS literally gets sliced in half. Is there a way to disable this? I checked in the upper left "draw" options, though none of those disable it. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.
When you hold c, on the bar at the top, there is a setting under "Drawing" (I think that's what it's called) to disable glows.

As stated in the OP, I already went through each of those settings and none of them disabled the entity glow.

Oh, I thought that was for disabling glows entirely, but it's just for the physgun glows.
[del]There isn't a command or anything to disable glows,[/del] but I can make a pull request to make glows optional.

Found that there is a cvar to disable the freeze and unfreeze glow, but haven't found one for the context menu hover.
effects_freeze, effects_unfreeze and physgun_halo are the ones I've found so far.

I know there used to be a way to disable it, as I had disabled it before on my desktop unintentionally and had no idea how I did it, lol. Maybe I can find the shader file and replace it with an empty file or something..
