Hey people I am kinda new to FacePunch so go easy on me please.
About... one or two months ago, I began to have a rather weird issue. First it happened only with one server: Lemon Punch, but now it began to happen more and more and more and I just have no god damn clue about WHY or WHAT is going on. Today I tried to join a few servers but over and over and over the same thing happened:
Garry's Mod, randomly closing itself out from the blue, no error message, nothing. It just closes, I already sent a ticket to GMOD support so I am still waiting, but in-case you guys know something regarding this issue, please answer with a fix or at least some tips.
Here is what I tried:
Wipe GMOD Entirely [Folders, cache, everything] and complete re-install.
It didn't work. A few people said it's because I use Windows XP, but it's not. My buddy runs W7 and he has the exact freakin' issue as-well. A ton of people out there has this problem but NOBODY has a god damn clue about what is going on or how to fix this.
Please, if you guys have a fix then tell me or help me finding one. This is seriously annoying. My favorite community finally came back today and I can't f*cking join it because my GMOD lolcloses itself every god-damned time.
Thanks in Advance.
Go to your Garry's Mod root folder (/steamapps/common/garrysmod), are there any .mdmp files there?

Yes there are, I re-installed my whole GMOD in a second attempt to fix this, but luckily I had the brain to save the mdmp's in-case someone wants them. Let me just look up the site you give to everyone from your other replies and I will give you the error log in a moment...

This is what you need, yes? What I noticed in pretty much every mdmp is that it crashes at the "Initizalizing Awesomium" part. Hell knows why.
EDIT 2:
Alright I think I figured it out. Apparently for some very weird reason, whenever I attempt to join a server, which uses a map that I downloaded from workshop, and not trough a manual link, my GMOD simply closes itself. I don't know why Workshop hates me, but as long as a map has a manual link, I think I can temporary fix this.
Bump, it still cloes over and over and over. Mainly from HD models like "Citizen in suits, enhanced citizens" etc.
It just freezes once and boom, closed.
Bump once again.
Also: Wtf is this

It's normal, GMod runs on awesomium
It's normal, GMod runs on awesomium
Is it really normal to have at least 8 of them open which eats half my memory? And also, any clues what is going on?
I remember that being an issue before with having too many processes, but I believe that was fixed before. Does this happen on a specific server, or just simply playing singeplayer?
It works like this:
I join a HL2RP server (Clockwork tends to drain a lot of memory, etc I know.)
I play for about... let's say, 2 hours. Sometimes less, sometimes more. It's random.
Then if my gmod freezes from anything, let it be someone going on a character that uses a model that my gmod didn't loaded yet, etc. it just closes.
Sounds messy doesn't it?
It's very weird, let me say an example, or at least attempt to. HD models like: Citizen in suits, etc tend to crash me. In the old days, when I spawned a HD model, my gmod froze for about... 10 seconds until it processed it and then everything went on smoothly. But ever since GMOD 13, if my GMOD freezes for longer than 2 seconds, it just closes itself. First I thought it's some sort of safety mechanism to prevent your PC from eating itself up.
I am very stupid when it comes to this. What I know is, it happens on every single server. Sometimes when I am loading icons, they just go pure black and if I click them, my gmod also closes itself. I have absolutely no idea what is going on, I don't know where did this came from. What I know is, it appeared when GMOD switched to 13. I tried every solution that people lined up. Re-install, validate, etc. Hell, I even completely wiped gmod and installed the bloody thing to a whole different driver in a desperate attempt: It did not work.
Ever since GMOD 13, I have a lot of difficulties. I meet the requirements, I have enough memory (3GB RAM, and enough fred up disc space) and I can run everything else just fine. But GMOD just... closes. It closes, over and over.
Someone said that Awesomium tends to cause this, I don't know but if that is the reason then I have no clue how to fix it as awesomium is part of GMOD. Also, a lot of people tend to suffer from this.
Can it be... Clockwork? Since HL2RP is the only gamemode I play in GMOD, I don't really know. In Single-player I DO get the black icon crash bug as-well.
Sorry for my giant post of nonsense, but It's annoying. Being a co-owner and crashing left and right is not fun, eh?
EDIT:
Oh and regarding the awesomium_processes. Yes, it happens EVERY time I start GMOD, it floods my task-manager, consuming tons of memory. It's funny because a few days ago I was browsing the updates history and gmod 13 beta had an update which said:
"Fixed Awesomium processing flood" or something like that.
Yet it's here.
Bump
This just happened to me a couple of minutes ago. When I relaunched my game, one of my workshop addons were updating. I guess it's just a workshop bug?
bumping up , this happens to me
I've noticed an issue with some players joining my server and crashing instantly recently. After a bit of work I found out that some of the 'Content Packs' from the Steam Workshop will cause a user to crash. If you're subscribed to any of those that is likely the problem. What happens is if you have a content pack, I recently tested with HL2:EP1, and that pack has the same model name/path(hl2 has models/eli.mdl and hl2:ep1 has models/eli.mdl) and they are not the exact same file it will simply crash. Let me know if you're subscribed to a pack like that as I'm trying to address this issue on my server currently.

I have found another issue, i am on Xubuntu Linux, and what i find is some of addons (mainly ones that have textures/content) will UNLOAD from the game when a server either changes its level, restarts, or you join a different server. I have no idea what does this, disabling ALL addons works, but as we all know, you need addons for alot of stuff.
