• FastDL not forcing people to Download models or materials

When I set up my FastDL on my webhost I uploaded all my models, materials, maps, sound, and resources and set my sv_downloadurl to my webhost at [url]www.zombieslayergaming.com/garrysmod[/url] but when I join the game none of the models download nor materials or sound. please help

That's not how FastDL works. You need to mirror base GMod directories, so you only need a maps, materials, models, sound, and resource folder. Delete the .zip files and the other random files. Also, all files need to be packed into .bz2 format -- use this program: [url]http://tjservers.org/files/bzip.zip[/url] Lastly, you need a resource.AddFile file.

Did you even read what I said? They're still not in .bz2 format.

Pack them all first.[/QUOTE] The reason I didnt leave them as bz2 is because when people joined they would not download anything it would just go straight to sending client info instad of downloading the content
Put them back in .bz2, and I will help you from there. Just saying, they have to be in .bz2. That's the whole concept of FastDL is that you're download a compressed file to the player so it goes faster.
Can't do that right now because I'm on my phone but at about 4:00 PM PST I'll do that but until then could you help me fix the players not downloading any content
They can't download content because they're not in .bz2 format, which is required.

Where is that located? Also, you really should be using resource.AddFile.

That's either because: 1. You are downloading way too many files to the client -- this is probably it 2. Some other addon is causing it.

Go into console after you join; are there any errors? Also, post your sv_downloadurl exactly how it is.

Have you already downloaded the files before? Try getting someone else to join.
