GMOD fists aren't doing any damage

I give myself fists on GMod, and then I try to punch an npc, but they don't seem to flinch or get hurt. They won't even use a blood particle to show they're hurt.

Is this working for other people, or am I the only one with broken fists?

I get this error while using fists.

[ERROR] lua/weapons/weapon_fists.lua:171: Tried to use a NULL entity!

It then kicks me out of my server saying there are to many lua errors.
Anyone know a fix.
