As far as I know, SpaceBuild 3 IS a gamemode, and it is VERY outdated. You'll not be able to run it without some MAJOR fixing. I may be wrong. [editline]12th April 2014[/editline] Also, why the hell did you recreate the thread when you already have one made about the exact same issue.

SpaceBuild 3 is not outdated. I play many SpaceBuild 3 servers currently that run without issues. SpaceBuild3 is put in the ADDONS folder. Not the GAMEMODES folder. So the server cant detect it. The server just carrys on as sandbox. Putting SpaceBuild3 in the GAMEMODES folder wont work either as its not got the right files. I reacreated this thread because no one gave me the answer I needed. [B]This is a Help forum, I need help. No help was provided.[/B] People over complicate things. I just need a simple step by step. And if you are right and its outdated, then what should I do? SpaceBuild4 is not ready by a long shot, its seriously buggy and nothing works. Other people have SpaceBuild3 servers, So it cant be hard. Thankyou!

Recreating the thread doesn't make your question any more clear or whatever. it'll probably result in people starting to get annoyed by you. If no one replies to your thread, then there probably isn't anyone here that knows the answer. Wait for someone to spot your thread that does know the answer, but don't create unneccesary threads for that. RobotBoy said that the gamemode is heavily outdated, you state it's not because other servers have it. Those servers probably fixed it, so unless you know Lua or find someone who is going to fix it for you (will most likely cost you money), you can't get the SpaceBuild gamemode.

Look, I have no clue. I have never made a server before. I have no experience in there. I dont even know where to find someone to pay. [B]I will however happily pay someone to fix it, as long as its not too much. I wont pay $50 to get it fixed because I am no coding expert but I know its not that big of a job as there is not allot of coding involved.[/B] All I want is a download button I can click and run and it will work. I can handle config files and add more addons. But All I need is working SpaceBuild3.

So, on your server you gotta just drop it into your garrysmodDS/garrysmod/addons/ folder. Something like this: garrysmodDS/garrysmod/addons/sb3/ garrysmodDS/garrysmod/addons/sb3/lua/* garrysmodDS/garrysmod/addons/sb3/materials/* etc.

No gamemode is needed, the addon activates itself when a map starting with sb_ is initialised. There is my answer. That is all I was looking for all long. Strait up, Easy to understand, Works. If someone else replied to another thread, and solved your problem, that's great, but it's not very nice to act as if we didn't want to help. We could have not replied at all, that wouldn't have gotten you anywhere, would it?

Im sorry if I seem hostile, it is not my intention. I was just alittle cranky because I had been searching for answers for 4 days and no ones was really helping. But I apologise if I was acting hostile.
