I like to play music whenever I'm on the computer, but most custom loading screens interfere with my music. Is there anyway to turn these custom loading screens off?
If you have Windows 7 you can turn down Awesomonium (terrible spelling) which is the process that plays the custom loading music.

Do you have Windows 7? If yes, go to 1. If no, go to 2.
1. Start up GMod, join a server with a custom loading screen, bear through the music, and wait until you're in the server. Once you're in, alt+tab out of your game and go to your Windows 7 Volume Mixer on the bottom rightish of the taskbar. In the volume mixer, there should be a process called Awesomeonium. Turn that down and the custom music should be off forever!

Never mind just saw your icon, I'm assuming your using windows 7 now, I feel silly
Actually I can just tab out when loading. I use windowed mode.
Is this solved?
Not sure haven't tried it yet. It probably is though.
