Frequent crashing when I try join a multiplayer game

This is a problem that happens pretty often, but not all the time.

Whenever I try to join a server (usually one that requires downloads) the game would crash mid loading with an "Engine Error" window that says: "bad inline model number 149, worldmodel not yet setup"

I'm not sure which world model or why it wasn't yet setup. Any info on what's causing this is appreciated.
