My server has recently been getting an average ping on the listings of about 50-150 when it used to get 20-60 and ingame all players have over 100 ping when we go above about 40 players, its really bad and affecting us lots can someone please tell me some possible causes and fixes for this, thanks.
The OS, Type of Server (Dedicated, VPS) and Bandwidth all have a key factor in this. Do you mind Pasting all of them here I will go over the specs and see if it is one of them
Your server host might be throttling it, or their ISP might be. In any case, you want to contact them.
Its an 8 core E3-1245 V2 3.4 GHz and the usage barely goes above 20% (im running 4 other servers)
32 GB of RAM and the usage never goes above about 5GB
1 GBPS port and the network never goes above about 0.5%
Its a windows 2008 OS and im with OVH who wouldnt usually limit the machine after being DDoS'd
So its in a data center?
Yes its in the OVH network.
It might just be normal and i didnt notice it before but im pretty sure we have been having a drop in players and stuff.
