[Steam] SteamApps() is NULL ??

I've been playing Gmod for a while, worked perfectly. Suddenly after an update the game exited on the loading screen after a couple of seconds and showing me this error: [Steam] SteamApps() is NULL.
Verifying game cache didn't work, reinstalling steam and the game doesn't work either..

This error? My solution was to reinstall steam from scratch, and re-download all source games.

Yep that error, what do you mean by scratch?
oh and in what order should I redownload the source games? first gmod then the others or the others first then gmod?

I mean, deleting EVERYTHING from the Steam folder, uninstalling it using the uninstaller, and then start again by downloading every source game.

And, there is no order, just re-download everything again.

1.Opt out of the Steam Beta Update.
2.Restart Steam as it asks you.
3.???
4.Profit!
