Windows 10 - Computer permanently freezes up on time-out

So ever since I upgraded to windows 10, shit had started to go wrong in terms of gmod.

Things that are bothering me:
- GMod temporarily lags when I tab out and in then play a sound
- My computer freezes up until I restart it when I get an ingame time-out.
When I checked in event viewer, it said that windows encountered kernel power failure

Pc specs

Intel 5960X 3.0GHz
Nvidia GTX 670
48GB of DDR4 RAM
