Hi, I've been playing on gmod (basically only multiplayer) and it has been working fine. On the old gmod, gmod 10/11, I would have the same problem: whenever I try to join any gmod multiplayer server, it would crash and I would recieve the infamous "hl2.exe has stopped working" message. During gmod 10 and 11 I found out a code to type into the console before logging onto servers which would fix it (vgui_allowhtml 0). But it is now gmod 12, I'm recieving that message again, and for some reason, the "vgui_allowhtml 0" code does not exist anymore. I have been trying to find out how to fix my problem and i'm not having very great luck.
I really hope you guys can help me! My power went out 5 days ago and this was an unpleasant suprise to find the day the power came back!

I'm pretty sure it is updated, if it was not updated then whenever I would try to get back onto Gmod it would automaticly update, right?
Why dont you just play gmod 13?
Because I haven't bought it... Also there is a specific server on Gmod 12 I want to play on. Now please only comment if you actually can help me.
You don't need to pay for Gmod 13

If it was updated, you would know that it's not Gmod 12 anymore.
