I have been very confused about this for quite some time now.
I saw this post but I wasn't sure if it was the answer to my question or not, so I figured I would ask here.
Is Garry's Mod broken/not working on Linux servers right now or is my server just being bugged?
I get this when I start the server:
Auto detecting CPU
Using default binary: ./srcds_linux
Server will auto-restart if there is a crash.
Running a benchmark to measure system clock frequency...
Finished RDTSC test. To prevent the startup delay from this benchmark, set the environment variable RDTSC_FREQUENCY to 2799.000000 on this system. This value is dependent upon the CPU clock speed and architecture and should be determined separately for each server. The use of this mechanism for timing can be disabled by setting RDTSC_FREQUENCY to 'disabled'.
AppFramework : Unable to load module bin/vphysics.so!
Add "-debug" to the ./srcds_run command line to generate a debug.log to help with solving this problem

Garrys post is about porting the client to Linux, not the server.
Use the binaries provided in this thread to fix your server for now.
Garry has a habit of breaking the server binaries and not fixing them for quite some time, so get used to browsing the forums and keeping old binaries around ;(
the actual story is that valve updated the binaries and garry hasn't yet, but he does have a habit of leaving it broken....for months
