Anybody running a Garry's Mod server on Windows Server 2012?
I will be ordering a dedicated server with Windows Server 2012 soon and just wanted to make sure SRCDS/Garry's Mod server will run smoothly on it.
I will be using the Standard Edition 64 bit.
Thanks
Windows is really good for backwards compatibility, I wouldn't worry too much
No, but I was looking at W2012 the other day since I've come across a key for it... silly open universities.
I'm not sure if there is much if any benefit however I can confirm SRCDS runs fine on it and so should gmod. All the old C++ runtimes and such run fine so loading custom modules (MySQL etc) should be fine long as you install those runtimes first.
