I used canyouseeme.org to check my ports needed for Garry's Mod (27000-27050 specifically), but they aren't open even though I'm sure I forwarded them. My ISP doesn't block them (apparently). What could be happening?
Are you sure you directed them to the correct local IP?
Yes, I've actually changed the local IP of my computer just to make sure. Sending the ports to that IP did not affect the problem.
canyouseeme.org will only "see you" if something is listening on that port at the moment. It will tell you that the port is blocked even though it is forwarded but nothing is listening on it. Start up the server and try again. If it still doesn't work, check your firewall.
The site uses the message "timed out", which apparently means that it can't connect at all. It uses the message "connection refused" if there's no program running.
MrBob1337, Indeed, just checked my ports now. What hardware do you have? Do you have a modem + router or something else? Hardware firewall? Anything?
Old Motorola Modem and a new Netgear router.
Add -condebug to the commandline and start the server, then post me the results found in console.log in your game server root directory. What ports did you forward? UDP/TCP? Give us more information, otherwise it's hard to solve any problem for you.
I forwarded Ports 27000-27050, along with 3478, 4379-4380. All of these are on TCP and UDP.
It's a listen server so there isn't any dump file.
Add -condebug to your Garry's Mod startup line then.

Ugh... The client console is a whole lot diffrent from server console dump. Try installing SRCDS and see if it works through that.
