I had all my settings running on maximum around a week ago and i reduced them all to lowest to test a messed up map.
Since doing this, every time i set everything back to high and start a game or connect to a server, my Gmod crashes. If i set everything to high and then exit Gmod to save the settings, when i start it again, everything is set to low again.
I've tried completely deleting Garrys Mod (even deleting the GCF file) twice and it hasnt fixed this issue.
Any idea why its doing this?
Do you have anything in your launch options?

Try -dxlevel 98, start game, exit game (with the menu button) and then remove it and relaunch.
Ugh.
-dxlevel 98 works great and puts everything to max settings, but when i remove it and restart the game, everything is set to low again.
When i leave it in and try to join a game, my gmod crashes :(
