Invalid sample rate (but the sample rate is correct???)

Soooo my gmod has been giving me crap with custom sounds. I use this addon that plays sounds upon specific strings of words typed in chat, and a few month ago half of them have stopped working due to an invalid sample rate error. Also another weird thing is that sometimes a sound will work one day but not the next. The console will say something like:
*** Invalid sample rate (48000) for sound 'blah/blah/blah.ogg'
But the sample rate for these "offenders" is 44100, the recommended sample rate for source (the files in question are ogg btw). Keep in mind that these sounds had no problem up until an SVN update, and it most definitely wasn't a lua issue. Some of them have genuinely incorrect sample rates that need to be corrected manually by the users, but a lot of them should be completely fine but are not.The thing that leaves me clueless is that those who use my server have absolutely no problems at all with the sounds, they can hear them just fine. It's like my gmod's sound engine has corrupted somehow, and I don't even think that's possible.
I'm not the most audio-literate person, so I'm not quite sure what the problem could be. Any suggestions?
Capsadmin (the developer of chatsounds) knows about these issues and told me that different people have different sound errors. Last I talked to him, he had no idea why this was happening.
Ah, well it's good to hear that caps knows about it, I was afraid to annoy him :/. I thought something was just horribly wrong with my gmod.
