hi there!
recently purchased garry's mod + counter-strike: source yesterday and started playing gmod for now.
when opening the dupes category in the Q menu, i couldn't see any preview images of the dupes. also when downloading from workshop the speed is incredibly slow for just a mod that occupies 11 kbs.

Did you download and run CS:S yet? Is CS:S mounted in Garry's Mod? Almost sounds like an internet issue. The preview images probably time out before they can download. Where do you live and what is your region set to in Steam?
sorry for the long time to reply, and yes i already downloaded and ran CS:S, also it is mounted, I verified that like 3 times already. I live in Romania, and where I can find the region to set?

Just go into Steam, click Settings at the top left and when the settings window appears go to the Downloads tab and in the drop down menu select your closest server and make sure your bandwidth isn't limited as well then hit OK and restart Steam.
did that, but now some pictures start to appear really hard. still alot of preview pictures are dissapeared. i changed my region, and i dont have any limit on bandwidth. is it that the steam servers are overloaded from the steam summer sale?

They tend to quite a bit, even when it's not the summer sale.
i've heard alot of people having this problem just like mine. garry should find a fix or something for the workshop.
any solutions? this is getting really annoying!

I've never had the problem. Does it only do it in the Dupes tab of the Q menu? Or does the Workshop do it as well?
If so try another game you own that has Workshop addons such as Left 4 Dead 2.
it does this just in the dupes tab, in workshop all of the images appear.

Huh, guess Garry's Mod is just acting funny with pulling data from the Steam servers. I never really use the dupe browser in game I usually just make my own dupes or use the workshop through the pause menu. I wonder if GMod is trying to pull files from the wrong server?
