Steam/Garry's Mod thumbnails not showing up, slow download

Hello dear Garry's Mod users,

I seem to have a problem with my steam client. It doesn't show me the steam workshop thumbnails and the addons in Garry's Mod won't load either and their download is super slow. I have already tried switching download server many times and it didn't give me any positive results, also changed my DNS to OPenDNS. My brother who is connected to the same internet source (router) does not have this issue (we both have Windows 7 x64 Professional).

My internet seems to be working fine, I download games from Steam with maximum speed and have no lags in games whatsover, the issue is related only to the Steam Client and Garry's Mod from what I can see. I have tried reinstalling Steam client but it didn't help.

Unfortunately that did not help :(.

Fixed my issue. Turns out that I had to go to my internet settings>Connections>LAN Settings and turn off the automatic setup :).
