I have a new issue, after downloading Gmod when I start it it zooms in a ton, goes to full screen and instantly goes away as in Gmod turns off. I've restarted Steam and all that, still doesn't work.
Make sure your graphics drivers are up to date. Have you tried starting it windowed? Put -window in the launch options
I tried windowed and still no. Also I'm running a virtual Windows so I'm not sure how to check graphic drivers

Wait, are you running a Windows virtual machine inside OS X? Or are you rebooting into Windows using Bootcamp? If you're using Bootcamp, keep reading and just continue on with the steps.
rollerbeastba, please download and install [B][URL="http://www.piriform.com/speccy"]Speccy[/URL][/B] in Windows. It's a harmless and helpful utility that basically snapshots your system in a handy summary form. Please take a screenshot of the Graphics tab.
That's basically much faster than us teaching you how to dig around Windows to get all the info we want.
Well, GMod in OS X is ... gah.. and gmod in a windows vm in os x is gaah gaah
If you have Steam on your Mac and you meet at least minimum requirements for Garry's mod you'll be able to run the game on host at decent frame rate. Trying to cheat the rendering system of Source Engine by using VM will mostly not work at all.
