Hello, after updating my Garry's Mod on Steam, I have been having issues ingame. I see flashing red,blue,green and mutlicolored textures, and missing textures on some maps. I do not know what is causing it, but i have reinstalled Garrys Mod, without any luck of fixing the problem. Thanks.
I have a Razer x51 with Nvidia Geforce GTX 640.

Ensure graphics drivers are updated and try running the game with -dxlevel 80
Do you have Counter-Strike Source?
Also, don't use -dxlevel 80, use -dxlevel 95. DirectX 8 is very borked in GMod.
It's not borked, it just disables a lot of effects so some things won't appear correctly, but it has more of a chance of fixing his problem
No, DirectX 8 has the same chance as DirectX 9.5 to fixing a problem. Maybe less since DirectX 9-9.5 can display effects correctly.
Still no luck, Most of the maps I just tried have missing textures and so on. Even the garrys mod default skin (Ingame skin) With the plasma gun thing that you can move stuff around with is untextured.
Oh, that's your issue.
1. Delete any Garry's Mod folders in steamapps/(username) or steamapps/common (backup anything you want to keep)
2. Turn off Steam Cloud Sync in Steam --> Garry's Mod --> Properties
3. Delete local content for Garry's Mod
4. Reinstall
