Hiya,
So in the past week or two of playing gmod occasionally every single peice of text become a white rectangle. The only way to fix it is to restart gmod. I've also verfied my game cache as well as a few other things, all to no avail.

If anyone else has experianced this or knows of a fix (preferably not unistalling and reinstalling) I would be very grateful. (aslo ignore the lua error, nothing tto do witht he text thing)
Thanks.
Firstly make sure your graphics drivers are up to date. Have you used any dxlevel settings? It can cause graphical glitches if it's set too low. What are your computer specs?
Thanks for the reply,
I've been running the same settings since I foirst got gmod over a year ago, and, as far as I know, my drivers are all up to date.
Specs:
OS: MacOSX
Processor: 2.5 GHz Core I5
RAM: 8GB (DDR)
Graphics: Intel HD Graphics 4000 (1024 MB)
Are you on Mavericks? Make sure you have the latest firmware updates or whatever from Apple Software Update. Have you installed anything recently since this happened?
Yes and I can confirm I'm up to date and no, I have not.

I can only assume that's related to the error, it was very fast but I caught it, any ideas?
Hmm, try verifying game cache (right click on Garry's Mod in Steam, go on properties, it's under one of the tabs on properties), it's like reinstalling the game but not, it won't remove anything, but will fix broken/missing files. Also if you have any addons/workshop subscriptions try removing them, some can cause problems especially with the OSX/Linux versions of the game.
If none of these solve your issue it may be worth using bootcamp or crossover to run the Windows version of Garry's Mod, the OSX/Linux version have some issues unfortunately
Thanks for the help. i'll re-verify the cache and see if it fixes it this time, allready tried unsubsribing a while ago and that didn't do anything. Unfortunaley boot camp isn't an option as I can't afford windows (7/8) otherwise I'd ause it for gaming :).
Thanks for the help!
OSX is fine for gaming (for the games it supports), it's just Garry's Mod is a bit of an oddball
