Hi all,
Sorry if I sound dumb in my post for help! I put Garrys mod on the PC for my young son some months ago and he loves playing about with it. He now has a problem that when he goes to start it, it hangs on the front screen with a "workshop" dialogue box saying "Downloading "FFCM Main Characters"" with 2 progress bars, one saying 138.58MB the other saying add on 1 of 2 (although I have seen it say 2 of 2). The progress bars never move, the front screen stays on for a few minutes then goes off and we return back to the desktop.
Any help would be really appreciated :)
Are you subscribed to any workshop addons? Try unsubscribing from them
I'm not sure, how do I find out?
If you go onto the workshop section on the steam website while logged in and go on garrys mod it will tell you what addons youre subscribed to
Eventually managed to log onto Steam! The only workshop I can see is one called Hitlers Revenge which I assume is one created by my son. I can't see any other workshops that he's subscribed to.

I think we're done. I also found a "subscribed items" link, clicked that and found 17 subscriptions - one of them was FFCM characters. Unsubscribed from that and, when I start Garrys Mod now, I don't get the dialogue box. Just going to collar the young man and ask him to try it out :)
