I got a server recently on Linux (Debian 7) and the gmod server browser isn't showing the server. I have tried putting heartbeat in console a few times but I've had no luck. The server is hosted in Sweden.
That's the limited Garry's Mod server browser for you.
Just tried legacy and steam server browser, still not showing.
Can you still connect to the server through the console?
Yes.
Then it should be showing up on the server browser, are you sure the server name doesn't have any weird characters or whitespace at the start of the name causing it to be in a weird place in the list?
Think this is causing it?
hostname "HarrysMod TTT | 1-Hit Knife | Pointshop | Popular Maps | Only 5mb of content!
You are missing an end quote
hostname "HarrysMod TTT | 1-Hit Knife | Pointshop | Popular Maps | Only 5mb of content!
to
hostname "HarrysMod TTT | 1-Hit Knife | Pointshop | Popular Maps | Only 5mb of content!"
Did that, still not showing, however, this spams console on server start:
dlopen failed trying to load:

Those errors are normal. How long has the server been up? I've noticed it can take some time before a server shows up on the master server list.
Shows up fine for me.

Yes I hunted through a list of 4000 servers to find it. You're welcome lol.
Doesn't show for me.
It doesn't show for me either, but your server is on the master server list according to this: https://forums.alliedmods.net/showthread.php?t=192367
The problem you're facing is most likely this: http://steamcommunity.com/discussions/forum/10/558754259852724734/
But the strange thing is, the server is hosted in england however gametracker reports the server to be in america, and I can see Russian servers.

I did an IP lookup on your server (31.220.5.180) and it shows its located in the US - but obviously it isn't, it's simply the IP geolocation hasn't been updated, and thus the master server will think it's in the US (which results in the problem I linked to above).
I would recommend that you ask your hosting provider to supply you with another IP.
PS: Would be nice to have more people reply to that steam thread for support <3
Spoke to my host and they will be moving me to an IP in the Netherlands to see if that fixes it. Mind sending me that IP lookup? I'll mark this thread as solved when I switch IPs and it works. One last question: does this mean sv_region is completly useless?
I used http://ip-lookup.net/
I am not 100% sure on the sv_region, but I can only assume it is useful only when a person selects a region in the steam legacy browser.
Woo!

If anyone else in the future has this issue, speak to your host about getting a new IP and post on that thread abdul posted.
