• Portforwarding trouble

Hi everyone, I have created my DarkRP server without many errors, but there is one problem that I cannot get past. When I portforward, everything works out. But when I go to canyouseeme.org, it gives me this error when I check the 27015 port: Error: I could not see your service on ***.**.***.*** on port (27015) Reason: Connection refused I was wondering if anyone knew what the problem was, and if so, please help. I am hoping to open my server by tonight because my friends really want to join. PLEASE HELP.
Please respond

According to any other tutorial I have found, I must go to the homepage of my modem, navigate to settings, then firewall, then "Applications, Pinholes, and DMZ" I have followed all of the steps over and over, and it all seems to work, but it seems that EVERY SINGLE PORT that I check on "canyouseeme.org" gives me the same exact error.. There is no Port Forwarding page for my modem, so I have to add everything in differently. I cannot choose two of the same protocol, I have to add each protocol separately into the same port I cannot screenshot, so I guess I will copy and paste what is in the port.. Definition List Protocol Port (or Range) Host Port Timeout (sec) tcp 27015 27015 86400 udp 27016 27016 600
buy a dedicated server

The way I look at it, it would be the same. [editline]7th October 2013[/editline]
buy a dedicated server
Be more helpful.
I am not looking to spend any money on a dedicated server at the moment. At least not until my server is up and running. I want to keep it open on my computer until I know that it will be successful so I don't waste any money Right now, it is still in the development stage. I can use Hamachi or EvolveHQ(Evolve works better for me), but sometimes it decides to use my LAN IP so my friends can't connect to test things out with me and help me with ideas. Port forwarding would just be more useful until I know the server will be a success
I can use Hamachi or EvolveHQ(Evolve works better for me)
Wait how are you hosting this server? I've never had to use either for servers off of my computer.
Forward port 27215 and use that instead. You probably use AT&T and they block port 27015.
Would he still use the 27016 for the udp?
Yeah, would I? I create a network, I give a friend the information to join the network, and it's practically like they're connected to my LAN. They can only connect to the server if they connect to the network I create.
You'd make the server listen on 27215 instead of 27016.
I changed the tcp and udp to 27215, yet I get this error when I check canyouseeme.org: Error: I could not see your service on ***.**.***.*** on port (27215) Reason: Connection timed out Any help?
Allow the port in Windows Firewall aswell and everything should work fine. [editline]9th October 2013[/editline] Canyouseeme.org is not working fully. My dedicated box has a few servers, listens from 27015, 27215, 3306, 80, etc etc and it tells me Connection timed out aswell, nothing to worry about since all my servers work perfectly fine. See with a friend if he can connect to your server instead.

You can get to Windows Firewall from control panel
You can get to Windows Firewall from control panel
I know that, I'm not a COMPLETE noob. But my Windows Firewall is being controlled by avg, so I can't edit anything on windows firewall or turn it off, because avg is controlling it. I also don't know what I would be allowing through the firewall when I actually have the ability to allow/block something. Is there an application to allow, or what?
Do you still have like a batch file you have to run to start the game?
