It seems like my game crashes every 5-20 minutes no matter what. I have completely deleted and reinstalled the game SEVERAL times and have tried emptying the cache, verifying integrity of game cache, setting more RAM, uninstalling most of my addons, fullscreen mode. Nothing works. Is this simply a problem with Gmod? This ONLY happens in Gmod. Here are my specs:

I am using a 2008 Macbook Pro and I cannot afford a new computer at the moment. My Mac runs everything fine except for Garrysmod. Any advice? The crashes happen for no specific reason, from spawning in props to shooting another player.
Mac's are notorious for their issues with Garry's Mod.
Don't get me wrong, many people run Gmod on a mac and are perfectly happy,
but there are some very strange framework issues that may come from using one.
