• Set-up GMod Server

Hey I'm looking to have a server set-up for a little group I'm in. If you're willing to set us up with a simple sandbox that has admin features, wiremod, adv dupe and some other cool stuff for building then I'd love to give you access to our server with special permissions. Please let me know if you can help, my skype name is my-head-hurts and steam is http://steamcommunity.com/id/corey_/.
It's really easy; just read around a bit. http://wiki.garrysmod.com/page/Hosting_A_Dedicated_Server

It's best that you learn the basics and do it yourself 1. Less risk 2. You understand your server better and can make changes on the go without having to get help from people. (For example, ULX suddenly breaks but you don't know how to use SVN to upgrade to latest version. You'll have to expose your server to some stranger every time a need like this comes up, and the more times you have to do this the higher risk it becomes that your server will get hijacked or vandalized. It's like having promiscuous sex, every time you do it the risk of contracting an STD is there.)
What do you need to setup? The addons?
What do you need to setup? The addons?
I used to run a server years ago but it seems completely different now, I added Adv Dupe and other stuff with SVN yet it won't work. I also have no idea how to add other game's files to my server like CSS, hl2 etc.
mount.cfg under your gmod directory's cfg folder in the event that it doesn't work, I suggest downloading a content pack (ask me if you need a link) and simply drag into the server's addons folder. Workshop addons have also been added to servers, so now you can use workshop to easily manage them. As far as "completely different now" goes, actually, it isn't. What you're probably experiencing is problems as a result of using hldsupdate tool? Nowadays they make you use something called SteamCMD.
Where did you put the SVN files you downloaded? And here's how to mount content: http://wiki.garrysmod.com/page/Mounting_Content_on_a_DS [editline]28th November 2013[/editline]
mount.cfg under your gmod directory's cfg folder in the event that it doesn't work, I suggest downloading a content pack (ask me if you need a link) and simply drag into the server's addons folder. Do you have an authkey?
Do you have an authkey?
Yes I got it from the steam website.
Post your startup .bat script.
Post your startup .bat script.
I'm using a paid dedi, where would I find a .bat?

It's rarely updated and is mostly the same models and materials as before anyways. as for workshop, it's fire-and-forget. I've already moved wiremod and SProps from SVN to workshop.
