• Nobody can connect to my Garrys Mod server

I tried just about everything but to no avail. I went on http://www.whatsmyip.org/port-scanner/server/ and scanned my ports but all of them timed out and when I checked to see if my port was open on http://www.canyouseeme.org/ it would say Error: I could not see your service on xx.xxx.xxx.xxx on port (27015) Reason: Connection timed out However, when I set my computer as the DMZ Host, the results were different. Whatismyip scanned my ports and showed that all the ports were closed except for ports 139 and 445 which timed out like previously. When I checked port 27015 again on http://www.canyouseeme.org/ the message changed. Error: I could not see your service on xx.xxx.xxx.xxx on port (27015) Reason: Connection refused Does anyone have the slightest idea why this might be happening?
Could they connect before? Are you being attacked?
Could they connect before? Are you being attacked?
I have no idea because this is my first time hosting a Garrys Mod server. However, I did used to be a host for a Minecraft server and it worked perfectly fine back 1 or 2 years ago.
I'm using my own PC for hosting
Have you port forwarded? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0t3dpwMaIq4
Doesn't enabling DMZ host disable the firewall anyways?
Probably not, if something can turn your firewall off with out you knowing, I would not use it o.0 But just disabled it manually and test.
My firewall is already off
I don't know then sorry, try re doing everything, what I usually do. Good luck!
If someone could assist me in finding the issue it would be greatly appreciated.
Turn off DMZ completely as it renders your computer completely open for any kind of attacks. Anyone with a KL / MSP would be able to penetrate your computer if you're on DMZ. Forward your ports, 27015 TCP and optionally UDP if that alone doesn't work. After that make sure your Windows Firewall is not blocking SRCDS. Boot up your server and go to canyouseeme.org and try again. The reason it got connection refused is because connections is accepted through the port, but nothing was listening on that port, meaning you have to have your server running when using canyouseeme.org.
