Whenever i join a server, i will see that the video type switches from DVI to VGA, then changes back to DVI for me to find that my monitor says "No Signal." I realise that it could be my drivers or video card, but it only does it on Garry's Mod DarkRP and PERP on certain servers, so it can't be my graphics card and my drivers were newly updated today so idk what else it could be. If you have any ideas on what it could be, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
My CPU and GPU are higher end so it can't be a problem with those.
Is there any thing connected to vga? and Try running gmod in windowed.

I have tried windowed mode and there is nothing connected to VGA.
Does these Servers Have Massive Maps and Addons?

40-50 and the map is rp_paralake, it has plenty of addons.

When it happens, the monitor buttons are completely useless and the game is just doing the same sound over and over again in the background when it did it. I can not hear any hault in game sound like i alt-tabbed, therefore leaving me with the conclusion that my keyboard and mouse are left useless.

CPU - AMD FX-6300
GPU - MSI GTX 660
I think your Gpu or Cpu is overheating causing a Freeze
How many Fans does your computer have
How long since you upgraded your computer

My CPU temps are 40 and below
GPU is always below 40
I have case fans in every area
It only happens on gmod no other games.
I can still hear and talk to my friends on skype when the screen is black
So The Keyboard and mouse are unresponsive but You can Talk to others on skype

I only have 2 dvi ports
I guess you verified the game cache and you tried reinstalling gmod.
Try Disabling Addon's im not sure but its worth a shot

Disabled addons nothing happened still got the black screening
This is getting harder and harder :@ Have you try using dxlevel ?
