Is there a way to load addons that are no longer on the Workshop?

Recently an author who had a number of addons I really liked deleted them from the Workshop. They should still technically be on my computer, right? Is there a way of getting the addon data and putting it into a format Gmod will load again?

if the GMA still exists, then extract it, and load it as a legacy addon

Ok, and what would I use to open them? GCFscape doesn't seem to read them.

Oh, does that work with old Gmod Beta addons too? Thanks anyway, I'll give that a try.

I think the file format might have changed since Beta, so I am not so sure.
