Hi. I have been hosting GMod servers in the past perfectly fine, but recently it keeps coming up "server not responding" for anyone who tries to join. I have looked over Facepunch and can't see a difference between my port forwarding and the corrected ones. Please somebody help. //This did happen once in the past before but one day fixed itself\\ Here is my port forwarding: Mapping Name: GMOD Interface: nas_0_38 Protocol: TCP/UDP Remote Host: N/A External Start port: 27000 External end port: 27015 Internal Port: 27015 Internal Host: 92.28.172.145 Enable: Enable Any help will be highly appreciated. Thanks DEAD KARL
Bump up the end port to 27030. Also, I believe the internal host should be your local IP. Ninja'd
Alright will go and try that :)
-snip- I just got ninja'd by like three posts
Alright I have changed all that, just going to get it up and get someone to check it :) [editline]28th July 2014[/editline] Alright, thanks to everyone's help my JailBreak server is working. But my DarkRP one still says it is not responding and still does not appear in the legacy browser. Any ideas?
S*%t no I'm not, of course that is why it wouldn't be working :P How stupid of me :/

Thank you everyone this means a lot to me. Thank you so much :)
Alright it worked perfectly fine last night. I loaded up the server this morning, and it worked great. But I had a power cut and now my server refuses to work? Any idea what has happened now? Player trying to join get "server is not responding"
Make sure your firewalls/etc are down/pass srcds.exe and make sure port forwards didn't roll back or something.
Alright, I will put up my port forwarding again just in case it did change and I haven't noticed it. [editline]29th July 2014[/editline] Here is my port forwarding: Mapping Name: GMOD Interface: nas_0_38 Protocol: TCP/UDP Remote Host: N/A External Start port: 27000 External end port: 27030 Internal Port: 27015 Internal Host: *My ip* Enable: Enable [editline]29th July 2014[/editline] Alright firewalls are down and I have checked my port forwarding again, but still people can't join.
AFAIK Internal ports must start with 27000 and end with 27030, just like the external ones. [editline]29th July 2014[/editline] Make sure your PC still uses that internal IP address, and not a new one.
I don't have a start and end for internal only "internal port" so will I make that 27000 or 27030 and thanks for the help :) [editline]29th July 2014[/editline] Thanks it's working now :) Means a lot to me, thank you :D
I know I keep coming back to this, but every time my server is not up for one day, it just goes to hell and stops working. My port forwarding is the same, and it always happens after my server has been down for a day, any idea?
Does your internal IP address keep changing? Create a static IP address for the server computer.
It's Dutch, but at least it shows you how to get there: [t]http://ss.rubensrv.nl/i/1364dA.png[/t]

Plus should Subnet Mask and default gateway be my pc's ones? And thanks for the help means a lot :) [editline]3rd August 2014[/editline] [URL="<a href="http://s1276.photobucket.com/user/DEADKARL/media/portforwardingsucks_zps1667d23c.png.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1276.photobucket.com/albums/y465/DEADKARL/portforwardingsucks_zps1667d23c.png" border="0" alt="Error Message photo portforwardingsucks_zps1667d23c.png"/></a>"]<a href="http://s1276.photobucket.com/user/DEADKARL/media/portforwardingsucks_zps1667d23c.png.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1276.photobucket.com/albums/y465/DEADKARL/portforwardingsucks_zps1667d23c.png" border="0" alt="Error Message photo portforwardingsucks_zps1667d23c.png"/></a>[/URL]
Subnetmask should be 255.255.255.0 (in most cases, for home networks). Your Standard Gateway should be your router's IP. If you type "ipconfig", what does come up as your own IP? There are a few "standards" that are most used by routers: 10.0.0.* 192.168.0.* 192.168.1.* 192.168.178.* Usually, the router's IP is either ending with .1 or (I have seen) .100, no idea why or what. It all depends on your router's configuration, make and model. It can even have to do with how many DHCP devices you allow on your router.
Ok, I tried this and it didn't work, but after changing the internal port it fixed my server. But another problem has arisen, originally my server would only appear in local network when it wasn't working, but then I realised when it worked it appeared in favourites and legacy browser, but now it appears in legacy browser and favourites, but the server doesn't let anyone join. *I know I keep coming back to this and it must be extremely annoying, but I seriously thank you with all my heart, for continuing to help through out the whole thing. Thank you.*
