• HELP! Garry's Mod crashes after listen server startup! NO ERROR MESSAGE!
    11 replies, posted
I've uninstalled 50 addons by now and it still keeps crashing! I can only play multiplayer, whenever i try to create a listen server my game crashes! I want to get back to posing!
Bump. Please help me.
Apparently, It's a LUA virus. The only solution is to delete the game completely and re-install it. But that would mean having to re-install all my addons. I DON'T WANT TO RE-INSTALL ALL MY ADDONS. The subscriptions tab in the workshop isn't working. I suppose i'll have to wait until Valve fixes it.
Lua virus? What? Where are you getting this nonsense from?
Just a good friend of mine.
He has no idea what he's talking about.
Right-click Garry's Mod in your Steam library, click 'Properties' then go to the 'Local Files' tab and click 'Verify integrity of game cache'. Once that is done, test GMod. If it still crashes, 50 addons is a fuck-ton, so find a few in the addons tab of GMod that you don't need and uninstall them. It isn't a lua virus, you have a friend who doesn't know what he's talking about.
I literally sent him the file and that's what he said. http://www.filedropper.com/hl2140713crash2014923t13944c0

Well can you tell what the problem is from that?
Besides unrelated lua errors, no. It's obviously an addon you have; nothing else I can tell you except to disable/remove some addons.
