• No one can connect to my Public IP?

Hey Folks! I have just created an GMod server yesterday, and it worked well. (i think) I could get into the server through my own ip, but I could not connect through my Public IP. I have port forwarded. My Port is open through http://www.yougetsignal.com/ & http://www.canyouseeme.org/. I have Bitdefender firewall and Windows. I have allowed GMod in Bitdefender, and allowed the ports in Windows. This is my commandline for starting the server: -console -game garrysmod -authkey [authkey] +sv_setsteamaccount [steamaccount] +gamemode sandbox +map gm_bigmaze +maxplayers 6 +host_workshop_collection [collection] +port 27015 When i connect through my own IP the server works all fine. Here is my config. http://pastebin.com/CmrmbddJ Please help. No one can use my Public IP :( And, yes i have tried to not use the "+port" part.

You need to do it through steamcmd, also try using utorrent you can port forward with that. http://wiki.garrysmod.com/page/Hosting_A_Dedicated_Server

I think he is using SteamCMD. He says the server starts up fine and he can connect with localhost but others can't connect with Public IP. 2. Since when does uTorrent have anything to do with port forwarding. As he mentioned, and is correct, you need to make sure you've forwarded the port on your router to the server host, then on the server host opened to port in the Firewall.

to portforward legit go to run and type in cmd, then type ipconfig you will get a gateway up something like 192.168.0.1 use that and login to your router and then find the port/portforwarding/portblocking section then from the ipconfig box get your ipv4 address it might be something like 192.168.0.3 use that for your portforwarding and open the server port your using as TCP/UDP
you'll probably only run into issues trying to host a server behind a NAT, have -other- people outside your network tried to join your IP? what happens?
You can port forward with utorrent it is the easier to port forward using utorrent.
..... WAT? You literally have no idea what you're on about.
..... WAT? You literally have no idea what you're on about.
Launch utorrent Preferences > Connection > Listening port (at the top of the menu) > port used for incoming connections (enter something like 27015) DONE!
Launch utorrent Preferences > Connection > Listening port (at the top of the menu) > port used for incoming connections (enter something like 27015) DONE!
this isn't forwarding a port, it's using utorrent to "force open" the port via upnp (which might not be enabled for everyone), if you have router admin access it is 100% better to forward it properly

I have portforwarded it on my router. Else it would not have showed up on canyousee me on the port? Right?
So have you port forwarded correctly? Are the correct ports open and available?
I have port forwarded port 27005 to 27015 on TCP & UDP.
