FastDL require a lot of bandwidth, no one is going to offer if for free, many groups don't offer FastDL at all due to how much it costs them.
Cloud services usually obsure their download funtions to stop people from doing this.
You should be paying for hosting from a company that do FastDl, because even though webservers might offer unlimited bandwidth for cheap, they are pretty limited and can lock your account for excessive use.
Ok, is there anything I can do about download speeds? Oh and I'll remember to cut down on some of the addons.

Workshop is slow and sometimes unreliable (Steam down times). Sometimes it's good and sometimes not but FastDL usually downloads as fast as the client can handle.
Using bzip2 will decrease the size of the files dramatically. And also it will allow the user to download files faster than before.
