"dhtmlcontrols" error related to MOTD (addon owner unavailable)

I'll get to the point. I've been away from my GMod server for some time, and I return after the latest update. I noticed there's an error whenever I join (custom motd enabled). The error pops up on join, and when I invoke an motd command (e.g. !motd).

[ERROR] lua/vgui/dhtmlcontrols.lua:103: Tried to use invalid object (type Panel) (Object was NULL or not of the right type)

I have [URL="https://scriptfodder.com/scripts/view/463"]THIS MOTD ADDON[/URL] installed. I reached out to the owner, but he seems to be away for personal reasons.

This is the code from the error, and the only relevant code with "dhtmlcontrol" found in the addon.
