I get errors when I try to select a tool from the menu. I can use the tool that is already selected fine.

Do you have the latest version of the game? Validate cache in Steam. If it doesn't help, ask the sever owner about it.
I err. am the owner I've been messing around with the server just to play on with some friends. I haven't the slightest clue on how to fix it.
