• Friends can't connect to my server (connection failed after 4 retries error)

Hey everyone, I'm havin' a little problem with this game. I did everything necessary to make a server (port forward, typing sv_lan0, tick local server and etc.) But when my friend tries to connect, he gets the "connection failed after 4 retries" error. I have port forwarded the 27015 TCP port (acording to WikiHow) Any sugestions? I just bought this game to play with my lads and problem like this isn't a really nice. Thanks!
1) Port forward range 27000 to 27030 2) Make sure none of your firewalls block the connection/ports 3) Launch the game 4) Select how many players you want to play with: 5) Press Start Game. 6) Wait till loaded 7) Celebrate with fireworks 8) Consider all the minutiae if something doesn't work.

But my friends still could not connect.
You did it wrong obviously. Or you did not do all of it.
You did it wrong obviously. Or you did not do all of it.
Uhm... friends are supposed to connect trough the console, right? (connect theipofme)
Usually they would use the "Join game" in friends list. But if you must use the console, make sure you give them the external IP address: http://www.whatismyip.com/ And make sure you do not start the server on hamachi or w/e IP. The internal IP which the server uses is shown in the console after starting the server. It should be the one from cmd.exe > ipconfig /all
Tried with the friend system, everything worked! Thanks, lad! Also, Merry Christmas!
