Well, when someone types in /advert it just spawns a motd board or a rules board..

This is now intended behaviour of DarkRP. You can change the number of billboards a player can spawn in the cfg. Stop relying on advert for server rules.

Why did you update DarkRP then? Use a commit before it was pushed.
Why would you talk global in charactered? Characters can't talk globally. If you want a different command for in-character broadcasts, then make it. But advert is for advertising.

Well still annoying that players can spam in billboards and propblock like hell
Then block the command or reduce the max amount of billboards? It's the same as if they would have spawned that prop, I don't see the difference

Advert was used for roleplay talk.. Not raid and shit like that, atleast not on my server, and if you gonna say "use /me" No. /me is for stuff like /me drinks and /me suicides etc
Advert is used literally like it's defined as, I don't really understand how it branched off to begin with
