So for some reason my brightness will randomly drop [It is due to my having overwolf installed]

Have you tried fixing your monitor?
It's not my monitor since the rest of my screen is normal and just gmod that goes dark
Have you tried reinstalling Garry's Mod?
Did a clean reinstall and it still didn't work
Check your post process?
Try switching graphics card.
Unable to change my gpu and my post process isn't enabled
I shall try updating my drivers
(Edit: after updating my drivers it did not work)
I have solved the problem
It is due to the ingame overlay for overwolf making it dark after uninstalling it was fixed
