Half-Life 2: Episode 2 map crashes randomly - Help

I have an issue with Episode 2 maps; Whenever I play a map from Ep2, it crashes after awhile, randomly. What happens is that the screen freezes and turns to black when you tab out. However the game keeps running. I recently verified the game cache from ep2 and it didn't help. I also reinstalled it with no success.

do you get a crash report in the Half-life 2 folder, have you recently installed new drivers or do your drivers need updating ? when it freezes do Crtl Alt + Del and see what processes are using loads of resources

from the log there was an exception thrown but nothing stands out why it could be an addon at fault or that your graphics drivers are old [quote]driver: Driver Name: Intel(R) HD Graphics Driver Version: 10.18.10.4358[/quote] try updating your graphic drivers if that don't help clear the addons folder and redownload them just incase any got corrupted

I will, I believe I saw something in my console awhile ago that said something about a server while I haven't played multiplayer for at least five months. Thanks for the help!
