Frequency of crashing on OSX becoming progressively worse – no apparent solution

– Across the span of several years, I have used a Macbook Air to play Garry's Mod. While crashes in the past have been frequent and erratic, they have recently gotten worse to the point where I cannot join another server or kick off another single player map without it killing itself. Previously it would take several visits before warranting a keel-over.
– In addition, if the game were to be left on for ~8 minutes without activity and then made to engage single-/multiplayer, it'll predictably crash as well.
– While in game, if the console spams out "[ERROR] [ERROR] [ERROR] [ERROR]" or some crap like that, a crash is imminent (but sometimes may be delayed). Kiss your session goodbye....

– I've already (1) verified the integrity of the game's files, (2) restarted Garry's Mod from a complete slate, and (3) gutted a majority of addons that could theoretically cause script issues. I am not savvy with computers, but I've been thinking that perhaps running Boot Camp could help (or not...).
Assistance regarding possible fixes (other than settling for a legitimate Windows product) will be most appreciated. It's a very confusing and frustrating matter, quite frankly. Thank you for a moment of your time.

Getting same [Error] messages on Windows 10.
I'll play game, it'll be fine. Then 30 minutes, an hour, maybe more before they come up. It gets laggier and laggier then I ctd.
Fairly sure its a memory leak, no idea what would cause it.
