Not downloading addons that i subscribe to on the workshop

Hey, having an issue with my Garry's mod client where it doesn't download any addons that i subscribe to when i open the game. When i launch garrys mod my game comes up saying downloading (addonname) like usual but then the progress bar doesn't move and after a while just disappears and doesn't install the addon. What i find weird is the fact that when i reinstalled the game to attempt to fix the issue it downloaded all of my previously subscribed addons but wont download anything new i subscribe to.
