• Another Apocalypse Gamemode

Yes, it's me. Everyone's hated pest, who is also a wannabe nerd. I'm back again, trying to make a gamemode. This one is based in my favorite kind of setting, a post-apocalypse setting where most life has been nuked <3. So I'm trying to make a gamemode, however if any of you have played Fallout 3, and have it for the PC, I'm betting you've heard of that mod, Real Time Settler. Well what I'm trying to do here is make it so that you can do it in Garry's mod, and build a village as you please. Plus another bonus is it won't be as buggy and such as Fallout 3 and RTS. Another good thing about this is bare in mind you, there will be multiplayer, so you can do things like declare war on another village. :) So yeah, leave me your thoughts and comments, and if you must troll, well I suppose it's being better then ignored. Systems in progress; NPC System - 5% Credit due; 1% - me. =D 99% - A niko character on garrysmod.org for his raider NPCs. Current version - 0.03 I have good news everyone, great news in fact. It is now actually slightly playable at least, considering now raiders spawn and you can craft weapons and such. And now for some screenshots! I loved Real Time Settler in FO3. Made certain parts far better in the beginning, having an away team from my village accompany me into battle. This is a big, ambitious project though. Good luck to you.

Of course if anyone could give me that scrap metal plate model it would help, but either case I'll do my best.

You're suggesting a real time strategy gamemode. In other words, lots and lots of math and bugs to kink out. RTS gamemodes are extremely rare, and those that do exist always have their fair share of problems. The only real "good" one I can think of is WM:RTS, and that's not a Civilization-style product like your's. You've got a lot to think about, and a lot of systems to create. Like I said, pretty big :v:
I'll do the best I can, but a lot of people might not care for how I go about it, like you might hsve to use a swep to talk to NPCs since I couldn't get on use working.
