Many peoples would like to make barricades for zombie survival , house making or just for fun, but they are kinda long to make since you have to spawn the wooden plank and then fix it. So i thought of something. A tool that actually make destructible wooden planks between two points.I am no coder and I dont know if it would be hard to make, but it will sure make some zombie survival fans happy ! :P
Hmm, I don't think this would work. It would just spawn a prop from one postion to another and if the door was too big it wouldn't fit. I guess its possible tho but most modders would probably just tell you to not be lazy.
Here i made some drawings whit paint ( too lazy to install photoshop -.- ) To explain my point XD

XD just thought it would be cool ... maybe in some years , if no one already did it , I will ;P
P.S. My drawings in paint are freaking awful XD
Problem is, you can't rescale props properly, or you end up with weird collision errors.
There used to be a SENT called M-Way or something, and when you used it, it would duplicate itself in whatever direction it was facing until it hit a wall. I assume this is what you mean?
Pretty much all doors are the same size, so you could just make a model or two instead of a whole stool.

Yeah , that would be the best idea. And for double doors , just add some more planks in the middle.

No , I ment to completely rescale a plank so it would be of any lenght you want it to be.
But a combination of the two ideas would be great !
Example: you have a plank of 6'' long. you set the starting point but then it is a double door ! so it would spawn another plank weilded to the first one. So it would be like one big plank covering the whole door! Much easier than the first idea :D !
Add a "stack from-to" feature to the stacker stool.
I find it easy enough just to dupe a frozen pallet. Fits the door nicely, destructible, and you can shoot over it!
I want a baracade tool to it will be alot easyer then just spawning wood and adding it with the physgun
too hard/impossible due to the fact that there is no way to properly rescale a prop without fucking up the collision.
case closed.
Make it a user generated prop from a set list. 2x2 Plank 2x4 Plank, Melon(Obviously this wouldn't be there)ect... and if it dosent fit the first side you clicked on Is the only part its attached to and it just swings down. Still attached to the one side but not the other side.
Perhaps hover over the door model and it has an overlay that says the optimal Prop to use and you could right click to use the Optimal prop.
Theres multiple factors to think of, and Lots of way you could do it but It is by no means 'Impossible'
